Happy 4th! The girls got lots of fun comments as they wore these matching outfits. Yes, Mom made the skirts using her new serger. (I LOVE it!) We went to a ward breakfast in the morning at the park down the street, then on to a hometown parade, carnival with free (don't you just adore that word?!) kiddie games and bouncy houses, and of course, fireworks at night. This was the first time Trudy watched and ENJOYED fireworks from the outside of a car. Most of you have a memory of her hiding in our van with her hands tightly over her ears as we have watched in years past. Trish said, "They were so bootiful, huh Toody?" And we had to make homemeade ice cream as the girls' shirts said "Peace, Love and Ice-Cream." Any excuse for ice cream! Grandpa and Grandear Rolan joined us the entire day, making it all the more fun and special.
