It was Mercedes' 2nd birthday but turned 1 year old (hah hah) Ari and I had made a three flavored cake with strawberry, chocolate and lemon. We put cardboard partitions in a bread pan, poured the cake batters in their spots and then pulled the carboard out. The batter is thick enough that it won't run together much. We tried having it stand up and I carved it in the shape of a one. But right before the camera came out it toppled. We still let her have at it as well as the frosting bottle (you can see the ring on her face!) She loved the 1 candle and wouldn't let it go. Click on the photo to see it more close up.
